Mojito Mints

It is, in fact, true that one could generally find most of the necessary Havana mojito ingredients in the local stores. However, people are warned that they can’t use just any old mint when making their Mojitos from scratch. As we all very well know, there are several varieties of mint whose flavor qualities range from “slightly minty” to “very minty”, and evidently, there are certain mints that can and cannot be used for making a proper Mojito. Mojito mints, therefore, are the mints that are generally agreed upon as those having the appropriate minty flavor for this particular highball drink.
One of the more common mints that is agreed to be a Mojito mint happens to be the spearmint variety of mint – however, it must be pointed out that not everyone seems to like using this kind of mint. If you happen to want mints that would yield results that are exactly like (or incredibly close to) the kind of Havana Mojito that they actually make and serve in Havana, you may consider Yerba Buena (a Cuban mint) or peppermint as your Mojito mints of choice. Then, there are actual mojito mints, which are mints that are only found in Cuba and are precisely what bartenders in that country use to make Mojitos.
